What is Mobile Deposit?
Mobile Deposit allows you to securely deposit paper checks using your camera-enabled mobile phone or tablet. You no longer need to visit a branch or mail in your check. With APL FCU's mobile app, you can capture an image of your paper check and submit it electronically to the APL FCU deposit or loan account you designate.

Tips for taking quality photos using your Android or iPhone
Lighting Conditions
Bright but indirect light is best. Placing the check too close to lighting sources may cause shadows.
You may even try to prop the check upright to avoid shadows.
Background Surface
Any surface of a solid color that contrasts with the check is best. Use a dark colored surface for light checks; and a light colored surface for dark checks.
Image Size
Use the framing guidelines to properly zoom and scale. Make sure the entire check appears in the guidelines and fills the space as much as possible.
